38 weeks.....

Update- went to the Dr. today....he said MAYBE a really small small small MAYBE I have dilated almost a centimeter (one finger). I guess any progress at this point is great progress. But Ms. Umbridge said, "Progress for the sake of progress must be avoided". I guess she just really likes it in there...the Taj Mahal of birthplaces I guess.

I also would like to mention that my nesting is entering the final stages! Today we had the carpets cleaned...they were seriously calling to me daily saying their fibers were overloaded with grime and dirt and they must be cleaned. I can now sleep peacefully.

Off to watch the season premiere of "The Office". Until we meet again.

37 weeks a view from the top!

Well, here is another belly pic to showcase the stomach. My feet have been missing now for about two months! We had our Drs appointment on Thursday and I haven't dilated or efaced at all.....solid as a steel trap! A little less than three weeks to go!

And the top three guesses for the baby name this week:

Madison, Maverick, Marsaille... all wrong :)

Also just wanted to throw in a senior moment for my dad. He and my mom are in Park City this weekend for their Anniversary. I texted them this morning to say Happy Anniversary and the conversation below transpired:

me: Happy Anniversary!

Dad: It's raining here.

me: Is it raining men?

Dad: What men?

me: It's a song dad.

Dad: You know I don't listen to rap music!

Oh dad...poor geriatic dad :) Gotta love you- a song from 1982..must have been when he went through the Country phase!

Nice toes!! Tisha is too pregnant to paint her own toes so I had to make my first attempt at a pedicure, I felt very Vietnamese as I was doing it. It was a good time.

I went to my first weekly Drs. appt yesterday and man, I think that really made it sink in that she is coming..I am not even dialated or efaced so he said she is going to hold out until October and I am ok with that as there is still plenty of nesting to be done:) She has dropped and is still just cooking away. It is getting more and more difficult to breathe for me but ironically enough the longer she stays in there the better her lungs get. I would be happy to have a baby that doesn't have to spend anytime in the NICU and is 100% healthy (we already all know she will be the best looking baby, might as well throw health in there too haha).

As of last Friday, I have started to swell for the first time ever. My toes now resemble vienna sausage, minus their own protective goo, and my hands are getting pretty pudgy too.

I also found out yesterday that the chair I ordered for the nursery LAST WEEK isn't going to be here for 30-35 days....so she can definitely chill in there a few more weeks.

34 1/2 weeks...

Here they are! Ask and ye shall receive. This is the baby bump in all her glory- stretch marks, the oddity known as my belly button and all! Pleasant dreams!
