It's the most Wonderful time of the year!

What a fabulous Christmas to be had @ the Williamson home. Last night (Christmas Eve) we got to have dinner with good friends. It was great to be in the company of people we love. We came home, put Mc in her Christmas Princess jammies and Mark and I busily readied the presents for morning. It was so much fun to lay Mc's presents out. We watched a movie, talked and went to bed around 11:00.

We woke up this morning @ 7:30 to open presents and Santa definitely found us. We all came away with presents galore from family and friends. We are so loved and THANK YOU! The highlight gifts were Mark's Kevlar jeans and riding jacket, Mc's pushy toy and of course, and my pink Trail 90. We got ready and headed out to the Iund's for a tasty German Pancake breakfast and just sat around enjoying each other's company.
We headed home for naps all around. For our afternoon delight, we headed to the church parking lot and rode the Trail 90. I will say there was NO crashing and the "seat time" made me a little more secure. I also came to realize, the left brake (the one I had tried to used to stop myself the first time), it doesn't work...at all. So there you have it, not user error but a 40 year old bikes faulty brakes. After I stopped white knuckling the handlebars it was quite fun and I am excited to spend more time on it. It was quite wonderful too that we were outside, no coats, no snow, enjoying the winter of Arizona. How lucky I am to have a man who slaved away for 2 months creating this thing of beauty for me.

Here is a video of the Trail 90 in action. I was really going like 70 mph but it looks like 10.

Our Christmas dinner was quiet this year but delectable nonetheless. We had crab legs, steak, spinach salad and crescent rolls. For those of you that don't eat seafood....crab legs are truly, truly, food of the Gods.

We are going to bed with full bellies, a living room FULL of presents and Clark Griswold as our neighbor(actual picture above- he won 2nd place in all of Phoenix for his lights). We are so blessed. We have EVERYTHING we could ever ask for. Much love and Christmas wishes to all. Here is to an amazing 2010.

An eventfull weekend

It has been quite the weekend here at the Williamson home. Tisha has a story to tell about what happened to her but I will let her tell that. I will say this: It is not if that happens to you it's when.
I had an amazing ride on Saturday. Tony and I returned to a wonderful place known as Salt River Canyon. Matt is the only one in the fam to behold it's glory. It is a beautiful place and one awesome ride on a bike. It is about 70 miles away so we hauled the bikes out there and then spent all day blasting the canyon. Here is some video:

First up is Tony in his full leather suit going quite slow.

Next is me on the Mighty VFR a lot faster than Tony and actually a lot faster then it looks at least that is how if felt. I was doing like 70mph it just looks slow. Did I say 70 what I meant was 35mph officer.

And one more just for fun is me on Tony's Ducati. After I rode his bike I have decided that I need a more modern sport bike. His suspension is so much better than mine that is was almost painful to ride my 15 year old bike after his. So in the spring the VFR will most likely get traded in for something a little newer. I am torn because she is so sexy but I think I need something a little more agile most likely a 2000 or newer VFR 800, due to it's more upright riding position. I am still debating. Not that anyone who reads this blog really cares but there you go.

I will say this on the way back I was able to go almost all the way through the canyon with no one ahead of me and it was amazing. I leaned over further and rode faster than I ever had before and thought it was enough to shed my bike of it's chicken strips but alas they are still there laughing at me. I still had a great time and will miss the roads and weather here when we move. Utah's road are crap and the canyons are full of gravel so i may have to start riding at the track instead. We plan to go one more time in January and I look forward to it.

Rite of Passage

Today, all my womanly dreams of fashion and prestige have come true. I arrived to work like any other day. Today, was the day of our team Christmas party @ work. White elephant gift in hand, we headed to Oreganos for a scrumptious lunch of pizza and pazookie (if you don't know what that is, think underbaked cookie, icecream, fudge, and mini chocolate chips). I had planned on leaving with a $10 gift- some lotion, maybe a DVD or the likes....was I mistaken. Sadly. Sadly but SO HAPPILY mistaken. My team, the lovelies that I spend all day with, bought me a COACH BAG!!! A COACH! I was so excited I cried. I can't believe I own a coach purse!!! Seriously, I am so blessed. I love these guys. What amazing people to work with.

Feast your eyes on this. A Christmas miracle. A thing of sheer beauty.

Read on

I was going about my usual blog hopping when I came across this blog:
http://kendraandryanwebster.blogspot.com/
posted on my friend's blog. Mark and I read pieces of it together and both of us cried....wiped those big tears heavy tears that drop fast down your cheeks. This sweet family lost their little girl (4 months old), yesterday. I can't imagine. I scrolled through her blog, just a month before where everything seemed normal...beitall from "perfect". I read back to posts where she talked about her daughter growing up and how much she loved her. We are heartbroken for this family. I can't imagine losing my daughter. I ache for them. I know they will see their little girl again and I know the Lord will comfort them but it makes it hard to see a new family, not unlike my own, lose their greatest treasure. A little piece of each of them is gone. Their story is touching.

God Bless us Everyone

We had some family pictures done last week (Thanks BRUCE!) and got them back today. Thought I would post the runner up for the Christmas Cards. I love my little family. What a handsome husband I have and my little girl, sorry guys, she is the cutest.

In other weekend news, went to see the Christmas Carol @ Hale Theater with the Cossebooms on Friday- it was great! At the end they had a bubble machine outside making it look like snow and carolers. Made me a little homesick...then I remember scrapingthe ice off my car windshield, waiting for the seats to warm up and stepping out of the shower onto COLD tile....what are we thinking wanting to move back??? :)

This morning we ran 10 miles yet again. I feel MUCH better post run today than I did last week. Got some Christmas shopping done today, some house cleaning and now off to watch "Julie and Julia". Love the weekends! :) Enjoy!

This is a Trail 90

For those who are wondering here are some pictures of a Honda Trail 90. The Honda CT-90 was a small motorcycle manufactured by Honda from 1967 to 1979. Perhaps one of Honda's hidden success stories, this bike sold well worldwide and has a faithful following to this day. The CT90 in its classic form was an 89cc 4-stroke air-cooled single with a four-speed transmission and an automatic clutch, coupled with a 1.867:1 ratio reduction box switched into operation using a small lever under the transmission case. The cylinder was nearly horizontal in the step-through tube/stamping frame. The fork was originally a leading link suspension, replaced in 1969 with conventional telescoping-tube suspension.
The Black bike is one I recently restored for my good friend Caleb. The Yellow is Tisha's bike before it's restoration.
And now you know and knowing is half the battle!

What we have been up to

It has been a little while since I posted so thought I would send a shout out and give everyone an update.
First- Mc pooped in the tub. Monumental in the fact that this is the first time she has ever done it. Probably not the last, but digusting nonetheless.

Second- Me and my lady posse ran 10 miles on Saturday. From our house to the Mesa Temple. Mark was there waiting to pick us up and it was great! It was promising to see people in shirts and ties because I knew we were close! It felt good and really puts into perspective the 1/2 marathon in January.

Third- Mark got the paint for my Trail 90. Yep- that is what I wanted for Christmas. It is going to be FLAMING pink....show stopping fierce! Can't wait for Christmas day and the pictures!!

Fourth- Yep, you probably heard by now, we aren't coming home for Christmas this year. It just didn't seem practical and now with our own family, we thought we would give a whirl here this year.

Not too much else to report. A lot of good yard sale scores this weekend, Christmas shopping almost done, and Hale Theater with friends this weekend to see "The Christmas Carol" (my all time favorite story....made even 100 times better when done by the muppets). Have a good week everyone!

Here is Mc with her "purse"- she is definitely my child. You can find any array of goodies: a binky, a sippy, animals....a girl has to be prepared!

Mc with her FIRST Happy Meal. Mark took her there for lunch and got her some chicken nuggies and a toy. As you can see, she loved it.
