A wonderfull ride

Well me and my good buddy Tony went on a ride on our motorcycles on Saturday and it was a good time. I forget how much I love motorcycles! I was smiling ear to ear the whole time and was transported to that wonderfull place where your mind is clear and you have not a care in the world. That is what motorcycles are all about. My hands did hurt some and my right hand fell asleep a few times but no pain no gain. We went by the lake and then up to Tortilla Flats which is fun because the last few miles the road is clean and clear and there is not much traffic and no cops (wink, wink). We took some action pics and some short video. This weekend I get to go to Tony's house to take care of him after he gets his wisdom teeth out, man he needs a wife for that crap. I know most of you reading don't care about the bike but maybe it will give some of the men who look at the blog something new to see. I would like everyone to notice the helmet, leather jacket, boots and gloves. Safety First! Later

sweet....

Another week down! This weekend was pretty good- Friday night Mark went to game night with some guys in the ward and I went and played games @ Joanne's...no evening is complete without some tasty Paradise Bakery cookies! :) Saturday, got to utilize the Cricut for the ward campout poster and Mark and Tony took their motorcycles out for the morning. I love my Saturdays, I get to bathe Mckinley and spend time with her. Saturday night Mark and I partook in the gloriousness known as Fuddruckers' sweet potato fries...my new favorite.

Mckinley now thinks she is a big girl :) This little video shows that she wants to do everything we do- she loves cold water from the fridge but will only drink it from the water bottle. None of this sippy cup stuff- that's for babies!

Blinging up Baby

Hello bloggers! I have been absent for a few weeks...please pardon the delay in me posting :) This weekend was great! A little update, Mimi Wendy came to visit and it was so nice! She flew in Thursday night (glad to have my Scrabble rival back in town). Saturday morning mom and I went and got pedis which were LONG overdue! That afternoon we took Mckinley to the mall to get her ears pierced. A really good friend gave me a gift card for a shower gift so we used that towards some pretty pink earrings. Mckinley SCREAMED! Back in the day I guess they used to pierce both ears @ once...not anymore. She was fine with the first one but on round two fell to pieces. She looks so darling! Such a precious and sweet angel. She is getting too big. She is now rolling from her back to her front as quickly as you lay her down. She is sitting up really well on her own too. She is little Ms. Personality. I had Mark bring her into work on Monday after he dropped Mimi off @ the airport and she was so happy to see everyone..smiley and giggly the whole time. She is such a joy in our lives and I look forward to every minute I can spend with her. She is truly a blessing.
The biggest benefit of my mom being here is Mark and I got to go on a date! It has been too long since we went to a movie and I was itching to get out on the bike so Saturday night, we got our escape. We went and saw, "He's just not that into you"...good movie but also had to be ruined by a gratuitous swear word (obviously Jennifer Aniston's favorite). We took the bike for a ride- there is just something about that freedom. I love being outside, surrounded by dark and you can smell the wildflowers. It was a little chilly but overall, reminds me of why I married Mark...that is something we love to do together and I love spending time with just him. I am such a lucky lady- life couldn't be better.

This is Mckinley when she is supposed to be sleeping. She loves to just lay in bed and talk to her seahorse (think glo-worm style only in the shape of a seahorse that plays music). You can see her earrings too.

A New Baby

Well I am sure that this is not the kind of new baby that some of you were hoping for but we do have a new addition to the family. I just bought a Honda VFR 750 Interceptor. Let me just say she is a beaut. I bought this bike because it is on my list. All real motorcycle enthusiasts have a list of bikes they will own in there lifetime and this one is on mine. I don't plan to fix it and sell it I just want to jump on and enjoy. I know that some of you might say , Mark you don't have a job why are you making frivolous purchases? Well let me tell you. My good friend Tony came by a week or so ago and brought his Ducati, a beautiful machine. As always I took it for a quick ride and that is when I had an epiphany. I am a huge motorcycle guy who for almost a year did not own a registered motorcycle. That is not right! How could I let that happen? Well it was an eventful year, but that was no excuse so I set about to getting the problem sorted out. Sure enough I found a great bike that was a good deal and as stated before it was on my list. The stars had aligned and it was meant to be. This bike has a lot of cool features and the best ones are the single sided swingarm, the righteous sound, and the more upright riding position for my hands. I know most of you who read our blog won't care but I was excited. P.S. I just wanted to add that I always ride with my helmet, my leather jacket, pants, boots, and a jock strap and a protective cup. Thanks.
