Napoleon Dynamite Style

When our friends the Stephenses moved to Idaho, we knew that we had to go and visit. I haven't been to Boise (they live in Meridian) since I was like 10, so I was excited to see what fun things awaited. They showed us SUCH a good time. We spend all of Fall Break at their new/nice house and I am pretty sure the kids were in heaven with Kabrynna and Dallin to keep them company. Kabrynna did Mc's hair. Dallin let Kingston play video games with him and even slept by him on the floor a few nights. Enzo had a "muffin incident" when we thought he was napping (Costco muffins left in an unattended bag methodically crumbled onto a bedspread). We stayed up WAY too late playing "Cover your Assets", too many Stinker gas station runs, walking in the morning, massive closet coveting, grilling, egg sandwiches, lots of candy and good times. We love the Stephenses. 

We visited the Meridian Temple grounds and hope to go back for the open house in 2017. It is a beautiful temple and pictures don't convey the magnitude of the Angel Moroni.

Autumn Williamsons- at the Green belt. It was gorgeous and the fall colors were perfect. 

We then went to a charming little fall festival called the Farmstead. The weather was amazing (no jackets needed). We did the corn maze, Enzo kissed a baby cow, rode the rides without long lines and had the world's best corn dog.

While waiting at a gas station a firetruck pulled in so the kids got to get out and talk to them, see inside the truck and ask them any questions they wanted. Mc said, "I already know everything."  (uh huh).

The Boise aquarium was a small building smashed between a smoke shop and a gymnasium. There wasn't much to see but the kids had fun touching pretty much everything, petting an Iguana, feeding the tropical fish "krill" and running amok.

Freak Alley in Boise was one of my favorites of the trip. A little alley dedicated to budding artists where they can go and express themselves amid dumpsters and steaming pipes. Super cool art and amazing talent. Later that evening for an adult dinner, we hit up Fork- a "farm to plate" hipster place that had delicious short ribs and butter cake. We were happy to have Chaden with us (he worked most of the trip). He is going to be an awesome missionary.

Nothing like spending a Saturday night riding stuffed animals that light up and sing around an empty mall. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. It was 10 minutes well spent. 

 On the way home we stopped in Twin Falls to see Shoshone Falls. It was awesome because right when we got there, people were base jumping from the bridge. Super neat to see (again perfect weather).
