The kidlets

Capt Underwear

We have reached a potty training pinnacle! The Ston is wearing big boy "underwears" like a champ and consistently peeing on the potty without accidents during the day. He chose Spiderman underwear (Which is ironic because he doesn't even know who that is) and was easily bribed with chocolate and Hot Wheels. #2 has still been a challenge- he usually waits until first thing in the morning, before we come get him out of bed to have his "quiet time". But we will get there! One step closer to a solo kid in diapers! We are graduating to a twin bed this week, he is preregistered for preschool- all too many big boy things that make me a little sad.

Miss Mckinley is now a registered Kindergartner! We headed over to Heartland Elementary and filled out all the paperwork and she will test this summer to know who her teacher is and whether or not she will go all day or morning. It was a fun day for her and I think she will do awesome. It will be exciting to watch her make friends and learn but I am a little apprehensive about having her in a place full of other kids (mainly older kids) in an environment that is so different than the quaint in-home preschool she has been attending for the last two years. She is smart and friendly so I am sure it will be more of an adjustment for me than for her.

Mc and just one of her favorite stuffed animals and the leprechauns they made with Alex. I love that K is looking up to her. He sure loves his sissy.

#3. Alive and constantly moving. It felt like I was just having a conversation in November with my then pregnant niece  who was 30 weeks pregnant and here I am encroaching on that more quickly than I would like. Had my tasty Glucose test last week and am feeling a little relief from the nausea that has been a constant companion since conception. Tasks are becoming more difficult- bending, shaving, eating more than two bites, but the excitement is setting in when I think about snuggling a fresh new baby. The child is still nameless (we have a few ideas) and his room is still the disaster area known as the playroom. It's a really good thing it's nine months of gestating or I would never get anything done.

On to summer time and all the joys that come from playing outside and letting the kids have more freedom from coats and socks. I am anticipating the time off with a newborn, the sunshine, earlier bed times, tan little bum lines and the prospect of 12 weeks to mug on my babies.

Hey, that's a good-lookin belly you got there!
Can't believe M will be in kindergarten and K will be in preschool! I didn't realize these little people were so big!
Let's amp up date nights in preps for the Last Supper...I want you eating VERY WELL by that point.

Kate would like me to mention that she has the exact same uni as Mck. They should be sisters (both the girls and their unicorns).

How did I miss this post?? Love the undies, oh I remember those days of potty training. Glad those have been long gone. I now get to look forward to puberty, and deodorant. And all the joys that come with that.

Oops. So excited for you to add another baby to your family. You've got lots going on. Baby on the way, Mc going into Kindergarten, and K in preschool. Busy time!
