Brudder's Day

The sure sign of a fun filled day is two crashed out kids in the back of the car.

Kingston had the day off (since he had Kindergarten testing) so we went to Farm Country while Mc was in school. All the spring baby animals were out, we hardly had to wait to ride the ponies and the horse dentist was a welcome surprise. The weather was awesome and it was so great to be outside. We had ice cream cones and then both boys slept while we waited to pick up Mc. It was one of those days where you are just grateful- grateful for the breeze, grateful for kids that didn't whine, grateful for free/cheap entertainment. I don't have too many days of just packing up the kids and heading to Thanksgiving Point left. They are all getting so big!

Getting High in AZ

When Bree called and asked if I would go to AZ with her while she certified for High Fitness, I of course obliged (any excuse to head to the Land of the Sun). It was a short trip (I didn't take enough pictures) but we had a lot of fun. We got to see friends, eat Backyard Taco & Joe's, roll in a hot car and spend time together...which, surprisingly, we have never just as sisters.

We stayed in an AirBNB in downtown Mesa that seemed a little janky based on the area (right by the Mesa temple) but actually was cheap and great for the time we spent there. We flew in Friday night and went to get our rental car. When I was there with Mark in February, we upgraded our Kia Rio to a sporty car for $50. I was hoping to get that deal again- the dude said he could do it for $75 so we decided to do it. We wanted a convertible and when we walked out to the cars this white/black top Mustang had to be it. I asked the girl if we could have it, she said yes, we loaded our stuff and started to get ready to leave. While I am adjusting the seat, the manager came and tapped on the window. I was pretty sure he was going to take the car. He basically said that the car we were in was WAY more than what we paid so he had to write not to charge us $400. So we got a fast/awesome car  for the price of something less cool.  The car was AH-MAZING. We rolled with the top down, radio blaring and felt like rockstars! The weather was awesome! It was so warm and nice- we were there during a "cold front" which means we didn't roast even though it was the middle of May.

Bree spent all day Saturday certifying for High Fitness- a classier/cooler Jazzercise (sorry, Bree). She did it! She passed and can now teach. So proud of her!

All aboard the Mothership

When the Hello Kitty food truck comes to Utah, you go. Rain, shine, freezing temps, or wind- you go. Alex and I braved the cold from 8:00 AM- 9:40 to sample some delicious sweeties and buy all things Hello Kitty. We were 12th in line and surrounded by other super fans which made it that much more fun. It was freezing (37 degrees) and super windy but we made it to the truck and were able to purchase all the things Hello Kitty. Might be nerdy, might be adolescent but, when you see ladies older than yourself wearing Hello Kitty garb and squealing with excitement too, it doesn't feel so wrong.

My Mecca.

Take all my money.

Look at these cakes!

All my swag- a shirt, a mug, bow water bottles, macrons, petite fours, bags, buttons and stickers.

Not only were the cakes adorable, they were delicious and much too good to share.
