The King Turns One!

How did this teeny boy get so big so fast?!? One whole year just zipped by! In the moment, that newborn stage (late night feedings, figuring out why he keeps peeing out of his onesies, and swaddling) seems like it will last forever. Well,  here we are almost done with bottles, Nursery on the horizon and a babbling, walking little boy has replaced the snuggly newborn.

This little man sure melts my heart!

Little Kingston-  you are a happy boy! You weigh 22lbs (surprised me that it wasn't more), walk like a champ, FINALLY are sleeping from 7:30-6:00 and love your sister.   You would eat hot dogs and fruit pouches for breakfast, lunch and dinner if we would let you. You are getting ALL 4 of your top teeth at once. You love balls, books and to snuggle your shark Pillow Pet.

You had two great birthday parties and were spoiled with all things boy (fun for the Williamson family since it has been a while). Cars, a bike from Mimi & Papa,  books, clothes and TWO cupcakes to smear all over yourself.

You are such a fun addition to our little family and we love you!

Tribute to Padres

Dad- You jumped in both guns blazing to take care of us and mom & I am eternally grateful-I have the Church, an education and a great life because of that. You taught me how to ride a bike, dance like Elvis @ my Girl Scout daddy daughter night, and how to make a mean Grandma Lorraine pancake. I can see the blessings that have come to our family from the countless sacrifices you have made.  You are an amazing "Papa" and can rock the "stache" better than anyone I know. WE LOVE YOU!

G- What an amazing son you raised! I am so grateful everyday to see the power of work you instilled in my husband. He knows the value of money, has a great sense of ingenuity and loves all things mechanical- I know this is straight from  you! I admire your tender heart and that you aren't afraid to show your love and pride in your children. We love you!

Mark/Daddy- Boy, I lucked out BIG time! You are seriously THEEEE best Dad. These little babies love you to the moon! I love seeing you snuggled up to Mc while reading her a book and how K reaches his chubby hands up for you to pick him up the second you get home. You work hard, work long and show our children how much you love their mom everyday.  You play My Little Ponies, change poopy bums, ride bikes, side walk chalk, and play the "Prince" like a champ. You are a dad which made me a mom & that is my favorite part!  We LOVE you!

Call me Madam.

For the past few weeks, the miracle of metamorphosis has been taking place at our house. Mc got a Butterfly Garden from her bestie Kate for Christmas. We sent away for the caterpillars almost a month ago and got to watch them fatten up, turn into cocoons and emerge as butterflies.  It was pretty amazing really. I was worried that Mc would have little interest in touching them but she was pretty excited once I took the first one out. She just sat and watched, laughed and watched them fly away. I have to say, one of my favorite things about my daughter is how much she just soaks everything in..everything is new and exciting. I love that having a butterfly tickling her hand made her throw her head back and laugh. Simple pleasures-
glad I have kids that help me remember that once, something as simple as butterfly was all it took to make me so happy.
